Star-Trac wheels were first manufactured in 1976. Star Tracs are the secret work of Kryptonics employee Jim Ford who spent time after official work hours to create these wheels along with the brilliant urethane chemist Chuck Demarest. These later versions of the wheels have the same shapes and contours as the original models, but have been reformulated with softer compounds to make them tougher and faster. If you're building an old-school cruiser or street board, Kryptonics Star Trac wheels are an iconic and reliable choice. Available in a selection of colour-specific durometers (see below). Compatible with our full selection of skateboard bearings.

These wheels incorporate tough nylon cores, which help maintain the shape and integrity of softer wheels and combat the stress caused by the bend and torque of softer wheels in motion.These wheels can accommodate 10mm spacers between the bearings. .

75mm Variations of the classic Star Trac design - available in an assortment of bright, popping colours - each colour is durometer specific, so please be sure to purchase according to your riding style/terrain/preference. We can offer advice on this if needed. The 75mm version of the Star Trac wheels follows the same contours and shape as the original models produced in the 1970s - but has been sized-up for modern cruiser boards and poured from more advanced, dynamic urethane formulas. Please note that Star trac wheels can sometimes have tiny air bubbles on the truck side - but these in no way affect the performance of the wheel
