    Loaded 47" Tarab Longboard Deck

    Loaded 47" Tarab Longboard Deck

The Tarab is the Loaded design team's endeavour to continue the legacy of their benchmark dancing board, the Bhangra. It is both lightweight, durable and extremely technical in design. Simply put, it's one of the most advanced longboard decks on the market (and comes with a price tag to match).

In terms of shape, this deck has been designed with integrated rocker, concave and kictails. In addition, the Loaded team have carefully modified the symmetrical shape with grabrails and an innovative griptape design - placed beautifully (not just decoratively) to facilitate elegant footwork and a more ergonomic riding experience for freestyle riders. The deck oozes flow and will be appreciated by riders of all abilities.

The deck itself is constructed from bamboo and basalt which keeps the overall design lightweight but simulatenously lively and durable. The top layer is built from cork which provides secure but non-abrasive traction as well as dampening vibrations. The kictails have been reinforced with urethane and the UHMWPE rails protect the board against any nasty impacts which would otherwise compromise inferior boards.

The Tarab comes in two distinctly different flexes. The Flex 1 features an extra bamboo veneer for added stiffness and damping. Flex 2 is slightly lighter and much more lively. Both options have two truck mounting options to facilitate different riding preferences. Please note that the Tarab deck is available in two different flexes. Riders should choose the model most appropriate for their weight range (see below) in order to get the most from their board.

  • Loaded Bhangra Deck - 48.5" / 9.5" - Various Flex Options

    Loaded Bhangra Deck - 48.5" / 9.5" - Various Flex Options

The Dancer is dead...long live the Bhangra! This offering from Loaded is a more compact dancing/freestyle deck. The Bhangra offers plenty of foot space to get your dancing groove on yet is compact and lightweight enough to facilitate steezy slides and advanced flatland tricks. Upturned nose and tail kicks, purposeful grip-tape patterns, rocker, mellow concave and damp flex (created in part by the use of epoxy bio-resin & cork) result in comfortable and functional ergonomics that inspire confidence on both the dance floor and the hills.
The Bhangra comes in two different flexes: It is important riders choose the flex most relevant to their weight range in order to get the best action and most dynamic ride from their board.

FLEX 2 (90-190+ lbs) is what Loaded's pro riders Adam S. (150 lbs) and Adam C. (160 lbs) ride. The Adam’s prefer a board with a bit of flex to it (they claim it feels a lot better for freestyle). You can still take the flex 2 plenty fast and do slides comfortably, thanks to the rocker and concave.

FLEX 1 (150-250+ lbs) is definitely stiffer, and if you are 160 lbs it will only flex slightly under you. If you like stiffer boards and plan on doing hard pounding tricks with this board or weigh more (over 190 lbs), this is your board. Learn More

  • Loaded Dervish Sama Deck - 2012 Model - Various Flex Options

Loaded Dervish Sama Deck - 2012 Model - Various Flex Options

In 2007, the Dervish was Loaded's first venture into drop-through construction and an opportunity to create a flexy, bamboo composite carver with the versatility to handle a variety of riding styles. Five years later, They revisited this flagship board with new performance aspirations in mind.

With a slightly wider platform than its predecessor, the Dervish Sama balances comfort, edge control, and responsiveness. Combined with a more pronounced concave profile, the extra width enhances turn initiation and slide control. Loaded have added subtle nose and tail kicks to increase pop and lock your feet in for freestyle tricks. The neck and drop-through cutout were also updated for increased durability under hard riding. A six-piece griptape pattern provides enhanced control at the kicks and facilitates comfortable footwork manoeuvres on the standing platform without interfering with the board’s flex pattern.

    Width
Using sophisticated design software and curvature calculations, Loaded have extensively tested various different widths and subtle changes to the deck shape. They then collectively decided that this new 9” wide shape (the old Dervish was 8.5” with a different neck curvature) provided a satisfactory balance of comfort, edge control, and responsiveness.

    Concave
The Dervish Sama also received a more pronounced concave profile, which is further augmented by the increased deck width. The result is improved edge feel for turn initiation and extra control while sliding
    .
    Nose & Tail Kicks
To keep up with the current caliber of freestyle riding, Loaded gave the Dervish the most tasteful of nosejobs. After testing several new shapes and sizes, they lengthened the tips for additional leverage, widened the neck to increase durability and ensure a consistent flex pattern through the entire deck, and added subtle kicks to increase pop and to lock your feet in. The kicks are reinforced with an extra layer of fiberglass for added stiffness and durability.

    Griptape
A six-piece symmetrical griptape pattern was designed with performance and elegance in mind. The two sections at the kicks use an aggressive, rougher-grit grip to provide enhanced control and security for manuals and freestyle tricks. The four middle sections use a milder, finer-grit grip (comparable to street skate grip) to facilitate dancing and footwork maneuvers. The segmented design yields functional coverage without interfering with the boards flex pattern.

    Camber
The Dervish Sama’s versatility lends it to many disciplines, but at its heart lies a deeply rooted passion for carving. The cambered platform and weight-tailored flex pattern work together synergistic-ally to provide a lively, flowing ride. Press your weight into a turn to pre-load the deck’s curvature; un-weight as you finish the carve and feel the board snap back with positive energy return. Learn More

  • Loaded Fat Tail Deck - 37.9" / 8.6" - Various Flex Options

    Loaded Fat Tail Deck - 37.9" / 8.6" - Various Flex Options

A little extra girth never hurt anyone. At least that was Loaded's approach when it came time to revamp the design of the Pintail. Loaded wanted to modernise this classic concept so it could keep up with evolutions in riding and performance.

The Fattail was designed for pumping, carving, pedestrian slalom, freestyle and generally any situation where lively, energetic lines are on the menu. Increased concave locks your feet in against g-forces, while the top-mounted and cambered platform provides energetic performance in and out of each carve. The width of the deck has been redistributed while maintaining subtle tapering near the trucks to provide both ample leverage and awareness of foot position while powering through turns. The formerly vestigial tail has received the silicone treatment for improved functionality in both freestyle tricks and surf-style shredding. The Fattail is also equipped with a slight nose kick for manuals and 'shuvits'.

There are three different flex patterns available for the Fat Tail deck. To enjoy this highly engineered skateboard deck it is important you choose the Flex appropriate for your weight range:
    - Flex 1: 95 - 122 kg
    - Flex 2: 59 - 95 kg
    - Flex 3: 36 - 77 kg
